Our Commitment

We stand behind every product we build. HV WMS, doing business as Workplace Modular Systems, warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship for the periods specified below — including a lifetime warranty on steel components manufactured in-house by WMS. The terms below define the formal warranty, but our commitment to you doesn't end when a warranty period does. If something on your WMS product needs attention — whether it's under warranty or not — call us. We'll work with you to make it right.

Powder coat finish Applied to all WMS-manufactured steel components
Lifetime
Notes & Exclusions Covers adhesion failure and manufacturing defects. Excludes chipping from impact, abrasion scratches, UV fading, and chemical exposure beyond specified resistance. Batch color variation is normal.
Tier Two

Purchased Components & Accessories — Limited

Components we don't manufacture ourselves are covered under defined, honest terms appropriate to each part — no vague promises.

Worksurfaces Epoxy resin, phenolic resin, stainless steel, plastic laminate, chemical-resistant laminate, maple butcher block
5 Years
Notes & Exclusions Covers delamination, surface cracking not caused by impact, edge bond failure, and threaded insert failure. Excludes chemical damage beyond normal use, impact, burns, staining, and cosmetic wear.
ESD laminate worksurfaces Amino resin high-pressure ESD laminate, factory tested
5 Years
Notes & Exclusions Covers structural and manufacturing defects plus ESD performance properties (RTT, RTG within specified ranges). Excludes performance loss from ground-wire damage, failure to maintain earth ground, or chemical spills.
Direct Drive linear actuator motor Electromechanical lift system — 4539 Series height-adjustable workstations

Plain Language

What "Lifetime" means

For the purposes of this warranty, "Lifetime" means the useful service life of the product when used by the original Buyer under normal commercial or laboratory conditions. The lifetime warranty applies to manufacturing defects in WMS-fabricated steel components and the powder coat finish applied by WMS. It is provided only to the original Buyer, is non-transferable, and does not cover wear, cosmetic damage, or damage caused by misuse.

Scope

What is and isn't covered

What this warranty covers

  • Defects in material — a flaw in the raw materials incorporated into the product at the time of manufacture.
  • Defects in workmanship — a flaw in the manufacturing process itself, including welding, assembly, lamination, powder coating, and hardware installation, that results in a product not conforming to WMS specifications.
  • When a claim is accepted, WMS will, at its option, repair or replace the defective product or component, or issue a credit for reasonable return shipping. Repaired or replaced products remain covered for the remainder of the original applicable period.

What this warranty does not cover

  • Misuse, mishandling, misapplication, or neglect — including failure to follow WMS installation, use, or maintenance guidelines.
  • Overloading beyond published static load ratings.
  • Accident, physical damage, impact, or acts of nature.
  • Improper installation not performed by WMS or an authorized installer.
  • Unauthorized modifications, alterations, or use of non-WMS parts or attachments.
  • Service or repair performed by anyone other than WMS or a WMS-authorized agent.
  • Normal cosmetic wear — minor scratches, scuffs, batch color variation, routine finish degradation.
  • Chemical or reagent damage beyond the product's specified resistance.
  • Products not manufactured by WMS — sold solely with their respective manufacturers' warranties.
  • Damage caused by shipping after original delivery — file transit claims with the carrier.
